What is Hydraulic Fracturing?
Hydraulic fracturing, commonly called fracking, is the main way of getting oil and natural gas in the United States, and without it we would become increasingly dependent on foreign countries. Fracking is the process of putting a mix of sand and water into the ground which then pumps it into pipes which we then use for many resources. Fracking creates fissures in underground formations to allow natural gas and oil to flow out, this natural gas and oil are converted into energy by burning them.
